[讲座]关于英国University of Huddersfield, Prof. Paul James Scott学术报告的通知

 

Prof. Paul J. Scott is company mathematician in the research group at Taylor Hobson Ltd, a world leader in the development and manufacture of surface texture instrumentation. He has developed many of the mathematical algorithms contained in the company's instrumentation and has published many papers on surface texture.

Paul is currently chairman of BSI technical committee TDE/4/-/3 (Properties and Metrology of surfaces) and represents the UK on ISO technical committee TC/213 (Dimensional and geometrical product specification and verification) and its subcommittees and working groups. He is the convener of ISO/TC 213 WG15, the ISO working group developing the ISO/TS 16610 filtration series and also convener of ISO/TC 213 AG12 ‘Mathematical support for GPS’. He is very actively involved with the formation of international standards and is project leader on several international draft standards.

 

Paul is also the Taylor Hobson Visiting Industrial Professor at The University of Huddersfield, were he attends two day a week and is researching into novel areal surface texture analyses. Paul has theoretical and application experience in modern engineering mathematics including numerical analysis, approximation theory, and next generation filtration theory.
