The 3rd Representative Assembly of the Alumni Association of the College of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University, and the 2nd Meeting of the 3rd Council, was successfully held in the KAIWUYUAN Lecture Hall at Zijingang Campus on the afternoon of November 8.
The event was attended by over 120 council members and alumni representatives, including distinguished guests and faculty:
Yang Huayong, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering and Director of the Engineering Division at Zhejiang University;
Chen Zichen, Former Executive Vice Secretary of the CPC Zhejiang University Committee;
Feng Pei’en, Former Member of the Standing Committee of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) and Former Vice President of Zhejiang University;
Wu Weidong, Deputy Director of the Zhejiang University Development and Liaison Office and Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Alumni Association;
Yang Dashou, Former Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the Zhejiang University Alumni Association;
Zhang Zhihua, Honorary President of the Soochow University Zhejiang University Alumni Association;
Chen Xiaofeng, President of Hangzhou ZheDa KeFa Equity Investment Co., Ltd., and alumnus of the Hydraulic Machinery class of 1980;
Chen Wenhua, Former Vice President of Zhejiang Sci-Tech University and alumnus of the Precision Machinery class of 1980;
Li Wei, Former Party Secretary of the College of Mechanical Engineering;
He Junnan, Chairman of Zhejiang Liju Thermal Energy Equipment Co., Ltd. and alumnus of the Precision Machinery class of 1984;
Lai Jianliang, Chairman of Hangzhou Jingye Intelligent Technology Co., Ltd. and alumnus of the Mechanical Manufacturing class of 1987;
Wang Bin, Chairman of Zhejiang Tuxun Technology Co., Ltd. and alumnus of the Mechanical Design class of 1992;
Mei Deqing, President of Jiaxing University, Professor at the College of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University, and alumnus of the Mechanical Manufacturing class of 1995.
The leadership and faculty of the College, along with representatives from various departments and institutes, also attended the meeting. The assembly was presided over by Liu Zhenyu, Party Secretary of the College.
This event has significantly strengthened the exchange and connection between alumni and the College. It will help build a high-quality ecosystem for joint development among the University, the College, and its alumni, thereby rallying support to propel the discipline of Mechanical Engineering to the world's top tier.
