On November 3rd, the 19th "Challenge Cup" National College Students' Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Competition concluded at Nanjing University.
The competition was co-hosted by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League, the China Association for Science and Technology, the Ministry of Education, the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese Academy of Engineering, the All-China Students' Federation, and the Jiangsu Provincial People's Government.
A team from our school, presenting the project titled "MagFlex: Research on Multi-Dimensional Flexible Tactile Perception Mechanism Based on Force-Magnetic Decoupling", won the National Grand Prize in the main competition. This achievement marks a historic breakthrough, realizing the school's first-ever "zero-to-one" leap in winning the top national award at the "Challenge Cup".

[Project Abstract]
In the rapid advancement of Embodied Intelligence, tactile perception has emerged as a critical bottleneck restricting the practicality of robots. To address the challenges of low decoupling efficiency and poor perception accuracy in current multi-dimensional flexible tactile sensors, MagFlex pioneers a novel approach based on Force-Magnetic Decoupling.
