As the refreshing autumn breeze blew and osmanthus flowers filled the air with fragrance, the Hangzhou ZJU Alumni Association Mechanical Engineering Chapter successfully held its 2025 Welcome Event on October 18th. The event was designed to welcome the new generation of mechanical engineering graduates into the alumni family and to build a bridge for communication between returning alumni and newcomers.
Over forty new and returning alumni gathered at the Mianshan Qing Tea Space in Hangzhou. The group included over ten members of the Class of 2025 who have chosen to work in Hangzhou, alongside teachers Pan Shanhong and Zhang Kai from the College's Development and Liaison Office. Also attending were Liu Wei, Secretary-General of the Hangzhou ZJU Alumni Association; Wu Sijin and Liu Huaizhi, Vice Presidents of the Mechanical Engineering Chapter; Directors Xu Changrong, Gou Yujiang, Sun Yunlei, and Zhu Chun; Secretary-General Zhao Yonghong; and members of the secretariat. Together, they spent a joyful and heartwarming afternoon.
The event kicked off with a passionate opening speech delivered by the host and alumnus, Liu Dandan.
Zhang Kai from the College's Development and Liaison Office and Liu Wei, Secretary-General of the Hangzhou ZJU Alumni Association, delivered welcome addresses, extending warm greetings to the new alumni and sharing updates on the recent development of the Hangzhou alumni network.
Following the speeches, fun icebreaker games and experience-sharing sessions quickly bridged the gap between attendees, creating a warm and delightful atmosphere for this reunion.
