On the morning of May 12, 2025, the School of Mechanical Engineering at Zhejiang University held a meeting for the 2025 mid-level leadership team rotation, featuring reports on job performance and integrity, as well as democratic evaluations and recommendations, in the Kaiwu Garden on the Zijingang Campus. Wu Feng, the group leader of the university's inspection team, who also serves as the Party Secretary and Deputy Director of the School of Chemical Engineering & Biological Engineering, and Wang Yuping, the deputy group leader, who is the Deputy Party Secretary and Discipline Inspection Commission Secretary of the School of Materials Science and Engineering, attended the meeting. Members of the school’s leadership team, members of the Party Committee, faculty party branch secretaries, and student representatives also participated in the meeting.
The first phase of the meeting was presided over by Liu Zhenyu, the Party Secretary of the College. He first introduced the theme of the meeting, the attendees, and the agenda arrangements. On behalf of the college leadership team, he delivered a report on their job performance and integrity regarding the completion of term goals. During this term, the leadership team conscientiously implemented major decisions and deployments of the central government, focused on the university's mission, vision, and strategic tasks, earnestly fulfilled their responsibilities, took active actions, and achieved remarkable results in important areas such as party building guidance, discipline construction, talent cultivation, faculty teams, and scientific research. Multiple achievements have made significant breakthroughs, and an objective analysis was conducted on the shortcomings and deficiencies in the work during the term. Combining with the new requirements of the university's "double first-class" construction, an outlook was provided for the next stage of the college's development.
Subsequently, all members of the college leadership team sequentially delivered their personal reports on job performance and integrity. Liu Zhenyu, the Party Secretary of the College, Xu Bing, the Executive Dean, Zhao Peng, Deputy Dean, Yu Lei, the Party Committee Deputy Secretary, Chen Yuanliu, Deputy Dean, and Wang Baicun, Deputy Dean, each presented reports centered around their job responsibilities and performance.
The second phase of the meeting was hosted by Secretary Wu Feng, the head of the inspection group, who presided over the democratic evaluation and cadre recommendation segment. Attendees conducted a democratic evaluation of the college leadership team and its members and democratically recommended candidates for the next term's leadership team.
Looking to the future, the college leadership will continue to focus on national major strategic deployments, thoroughly implement the requirements of the university's "double first-class" construction, continuously improve the effectiveness of all works, and promote higher-quality development of the college and its disciplines.
