Good news from the EI. The first English journal of School of Mechanical Engineering "Bio-Design & Manufacturing" sponsored by Zhejiang University was officially searched by the EI database,among the JCR-Q1 divisions.
"Biological Design and Manufacturing" is a professional academic journal officially launched in 2018, sponsored by Zhejiang University and relying on relevant discipline teams of the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University. It was included in Scopus the same year and the publication was included by SCI-E in December 2019. In the JCR report released this year, it obtained the first impact factor of 4.095.
Compared with journals of the same type, this journal is classified in the Engineering, BIOMEDICAL sub-database, and ranks 17th among the 87 SCI-indexed journals in this category, in the Q1 area.
According to the current development trend of BDM, the fields it focuses on are intersecting biotechnology, material science, information technology, engineering science, and the intersection of design and manufacturing technology. It is generating disruptive technology and multidisciplinary frontiers. International influence in 2021 is expected to continue to rise.
"Bio Design and Manufacturing" was officially launched in March 2018 and is currently a quarterly publication. The publication focuses on mechanical engineering (3D printing and biological processing engineering, etc.), biological inks and formulations, tissue and organ engineering, medical and diagnostic devices, and biological product design and other latest research direction. It is the first English journal in China that focuses on such fields. During the creation of the publication, it was funded by the China Science and Technology Journal International Influence Improvement Program Category D and the Zhejiang University High-level Journal Construction Program.
