To prevent the spread of new coronary pneumonia, masks are indispensable. On March 3, the mask production line of the Taizhou Research Institute led by Wu Jianwei from the School of Mechanical Engineering of Zhejiang University was put into use in the production workshop of Taizhou Huanya Medical Equipment Co., Ltd. after 72 hours of continuous “research”. The daily output of masks is nearly 10 million.
The company has semi-finished mask machines, and the production line lacks core components. Mask production was in dilemma. After the Taizhou Economic and Information Bureau learned about the difficulties in mask production, Wu Jianwei team quickly linked up, collected various materials overnight, and used the CNC equipment of the Taizhou Research Institute to process and produce spare parts. In order to ensure the smooth work of the production line, the research institute sent technical experts to guide on site.
There are no drawings of parts, re-exploitation and debugging of medical equipment, and time-critical tasks. The team led by Wu Jianwei, winner of the National May 1st Labor Medal, is working hard to contribute to the fight against the epidemic.
At present, Dr. Jianwei Wu and his team have provided scientific research and technical support for many enterprises in Taizhou shift to production of masks. Dr. Wu himself also donated 10,000 masks to the Charity Federation of Luqiao Xinqiao Town and Luqiao District, Taizhou.
