On the afternoon of October 28, 2019, the teaching competition for young teachers of the School of Mechanical Engineering was held in Room319, the first building. The competition was presided over by Professor Liu Zhenyu, the deputy dean of the School of Mechanical Engineering. The college's undergraduate teaching supervisor Zhu Pinhe, the teaching director Yang Jiangxin, Gu Daqiang, Ji Yangjian, Xie Jin, and the experimental center director Wang Qingjiu served as the judges of the competition. Some young teachers of the college came to observe and learn. This competition is jointly organized by the college's undergraduate teaching department and the labor union. It aims to select outstanding young teachers in the college, as well as exchanges and discussions among teachers and share teaching methods and experiences.
At the beginning of the competition, four participating young teachers, Peng Tao, Qiu Ye, Wu Shijun and Zhao Peng, took the stage to give a trial. The judges gave specific suggestions and opinions, emphasizing that the content and format of the teacher's lectures must be lively and interesting. It is best to combine specific cases to arouse students' interest. The lectures should be combined in detail and distinguish the priority. At the same time, they also put forward suggestions for teachers in dressing. There are active exchanges between new and old teachers, and the atmosphere on site is very harmonious.
Finally, Deputy Dean Liu concluded his speech. The teaching level of young teachers in our school has been improving, and the school has paid more and more attention to teaching competitions for young teachers. We hope that young teachers can communicate more, improve their deficiencies, and absorb more experience from older teachers so as to improve the quality of classroom teaching.
