A delegation of professors in ME Department, led by Dean Jianrong Tan, accompanied by Wei Li, the Associate Dean; Xin Fu, the Associate Dean; Professor Huayong Yang; Professor Qingfeng Wang and Professor Xiaojun Zhou flew to the United States to visit five world famous universities there and made a survey about how to construct the great mechanical building with the standards of the world first-class universities during January 10 to January 20.
The professors visited University of California-Berkeley, University of Purdue, Georgia Institute of Technology, University of San Diego, and University of Stanford. They attended the symposiums to exchange ideas with the local professors and faculty. Everywhere our professors went, they received warm welcome by the native scholars.
Through this visit, our department had a direct contact with the internationally leading universities, which broadens our reputation as well. Moreover, what the delegation learned about the world famous universities is a treasure to strengthen our own department and it’s gonna make a huge influence on its prospect in the coming days.
