The 2011 New Year’s Gathering of the ME Dep. was held in ‘Shaoke’ theatre, Ququan campus, on January 6, 2011. Professor Zichen Chen, Deputy Secretary of the School Party Committee and other leaders in Zhejiang University specifically conveyed their sincere regards and best wishes. Almost all the leaders and faculty of ME Dep. attended the celebration.
At 17:30, the gathering started. Wei Li, Deputy Dean, delivered a speech on behalf of the leadership team of our department. He reported the great success we achieved in 2010 and gave his gratitude to all the guests that has come to the party.
Later, Jianrong Tan, Dean of Mechanical Engineering, expressed his feelings of being a part of this big family. He thought it to be great honor that he had so many partners that fought with him to make our department shine all over China.
Next on schedule was the excellent show done by the teachers to display their happiness and proud. Everyone guest that was present enjoyed it very much.
At last, it was the time for awarding all the best teachers that students voted for in the last semester. The Gathering was happy and harmonious all the way from the beginning to the end.
