The 7th International Conference of Fluid Power Transmission and Control (ICFP) was held in Hangzhou

The 7th International Conference of Fluid Power Transmission and Control (ICFP) opening ceremony was held in Hangzhou Narada Grand Hotel at 9:00am on April 8, 2009. The president of Chinese Academy of Sciences and the chairman of Academic Committee of State Key Laboratory of Fluid Power Transmission and Control in Zhejiang University Prof. Lu Longxiang was the chairman of the conference. The guests from the United States, Germany, Japan, China Taiwan and other 18 countries and regions and 65 other domestic universities attended the meeting. The Hangzhou International Conference of Fluid Power Transmission and Control launched in 1985 held once every four years and have been held for 24 years. The success of last six session of the conference made the ICFP as a traditional, regular meeting and widely recognized as an one of the top 3 international conference in this field.

Academician Lu Yongxiang, president of Zhejiang University, Academician Yang Wei, world-renowned scholars professor of Backe, China Hydraulic Pneumatic Sealing Association Sha Bossen, president of Chinese Fluid Power Transmission and Control Association, Wang Zuwen attended the opening ceremony.

After a brief but passionate speech, Prof. Lu and Prof. Backe from German, Prof. Hubertus Murrenhoff, Prof. Ato Kitagawa from Japan, and Prof. Andrew Plummer from UK made invited speeches. These five professors are internationally recognized and top level experts in the field, and their reports are organized around Pneumatics, Hydraulics, fluid drive efficiency etc. and draw the participants’ attention.
