Biography

Dr. Xiaocong Zhu received her Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Zhejiang University in September 2007. From Nov. 2007 to June 2010, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow in the Institute of Mechatronic Control Engineering of Zhejiang University. From Aug. 2010 to Sep. 2012, she worked as a research staff at the Department of Mechanical Engineering in the Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Since from Nove.2012, she has attended the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Zhejiang University as a lecturer and then promoted as an associate professor in Dec. 2013. Her research interests include nonlinear control theories and applications, precision control of mechatronic systems, smart materials and structures, robot control, optimal design and control etc.. She has published more than forty SCI/EI papers in prestigious journals such as Automatica, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Transactions on Control Systems Technolog, Smart Materials and Structures, Journal of Intelligent Material Systems and Structures and Tunnelling and Underground Space Technology etc., as well as famous international conferences such as IFAC, ACC, AIM, IFK etc. In these publications, she is the first author or the corresponding author in most cases. She has been in charge of three projects from National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC) of China, and has participated in several projects from the government and enterprises. She is also the peer reviewer of several international journals and conferences including Journal of Dynamic Systems, Measurement and Control, IEEE Transactions on Mechatronics and Mechatronics etc..
